covid update - schedule changes

Adult Education will remain on schedule.

Charter School
In an effort to support our school community to stay healthy during this Holiday season, the charter school will continue with On-line instruction until January 11, 2021.   
This means that we will not be holding in person learning at the school until the 4th of January.  This is for grades Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.  Faculty and staff will continue to teach online through Google Classroom.  
Please check with your child’s teacher for specific virtual classroom times. 
Charter School returns on Tuesday, December 1st and will be in session until December 18th ONLINE ONLY.   December 21 - January 1 is the annual Christmas break.

​Early Learning Center and In Home:
​Dear Families, 
We have important information for you about school for the coming weeks.
The Charter School classes (kindergarten-6th grade) will be participating in online learning only until January 4th. NO charter school students will be coming to the school building before January 4th.
The Early Learning Center classes (toddler beginnings and preschool) will NOT be closed. We will resume our regular A/B day hybrid schedule on November 30th. A schedule classes will resume on Monday, November 30. B schedule classes will resume on Thursday, December 3. Please notice, this is for toddler beginnings and preschool classes ONLY. The Charter school (K-6th grade) is CLOSED.

Important Information:

• In-person attendance from November 30-January 4 is OPTIONAL. If you would like your child to stay home for ANY REASON between November 30 and January 4, you are welcome to keep them home. Please continue participating in your online class while your child is home. 
• We will NOT be able to provide busses to and from school. If you would like your child to come to school in person, you will be responsible for transportation to class and home each day.
• Meal delivery will be provided for ALL families beginning Tuesday, December 1. All students (ELC AND Charter) will receive a meal delivery on school days between December 1 and December 18.
• If you need help with technology so that your child can participate in online classes, please contact Gerardo Flores at gerardo.flores@guadschool.org or 801-554-9057 (call or text). He speaks Spanish and English and can help with logging in, using devices, or getting internet access if you don’t have an internet connection.

Queridas familias,
Tenemos información importante para ti sobre la escuela para las próximas semanas.
Las clases de Charter School (kindergarten-sexto grado) participarán en el aprendizaje en línea solo hasta el 4 de enero. NINGÚN estudiante de escuelas autónomas llegará al edificio de la escuela antes del 4 de enero.
Las clases del Centro de Aprendizaje Temprano (comienzos para niños pequeños y preescolar) NO estarán cerradas. Reanudaremos nuestro horario híbrido habitual de días A / B el 30 de noviembre. Las clases de horario se reanudarán el lunes 30 de noviembre. Las clases de horario B se reanudarán el jueves 3 de diciembre. Tenga en cuenta que esto es SOLAMENTE para las clases de preescolar y para niños pequeños. La escuela Charter (K-6º grado) está CERRADA.

Información importante:
La asistencia en persona del 30 de noviembre al 4 de enero es OPCIONAL. Si desea que su hijo se quede en casa por CUALQUIER MOTIVO entre el 30 de noviembre y el 4 de enero, puede dejarlo en casa. Continúe participando en su clase en línea mientras su hijo está en casa.
NO podremos proporcionar autobuses hacia y desde la escuela. Si desea que su hijo venga a la escuela en persona, usted será responsable del transporte a la clase y al hogar todos los días.
La entrega de comida se proporcionará a TODAS las familias a partir del martes 1 de diciembre. Todos los estudiantes (ELC Y Charter) recibirán una entrega de comida en los días escolares entre el 1 de diciembre y el 18 de diciembre.
