Adult Education student, Olivia, enjoys her job in Quality Control, but wanted to learn more about the job so that she could qualify for a raise or a promotion. Good career prospects mean a steady income, benefits, and a better life for her family.

At Guadalupe School, we recognize that many of our adult students come to English classes in order to find employment or move up the career ladder. But, within the last year, we've been taking that a step further - combining English language instruction with vocational curriculum such as Certified Nursing Assistant and Quality Improvement. So, thanks to Adult Education's Vocational Certification program, Olivia is able to pursue her "Certified Quality Improvement Associate" qualification at BYU Salt Lake.

For Olivia, this certificate will give her the upward mobility she seeks in her career. It's the next step in transforming her life through education. For our adult education students, English language and citizenship instruction form a solid foundation, and vocational training can open up many more doors of opportunity.

Since 1966, our adult program has been unique and innovative, and fifty years later, we're still dreaming up plans for our students to reach their fullest potentials. After all, they are the ones who come to class week after week: dedicated and eager to learn.

Want to help? Sign up to volunteer in our adult education program, or make a gift this Love Utah Give Utah. Our adult program is largely privately funded and volunteer run, so we rely on generous hearts like yours to make dreams come true.
