Continuing our in-depth look at each of our five programs, this summer, today we're talking the K-6 charter school!
What is the charter school?
Our charter staff describes it as "an opportunity for students who struggle in English language comprehension to get the skills they need to succeed." It's a public elementary school with small class sizes that focuses on college preparation, reading, and parent involvement.
What makes this elementary school unique?
According to our teachers, it's the kids! Our students are excited and enthusiastic about learning and dedicated to their studies. They support their peers, and appreciate their teachers and are setting goals for the future.
How do I get involved?
There are lots of ways to get involved in our charter school as a student, employee or volunteer!
We currently have openings for most grades for students. To apply for your child, visit our application page here.
Or, if you are a teacher or paraprofessional looking to work in a place where we transform lives through education, check out our job listings.
And, lastly, we always need volunteers in our after school program to help with reading and homework. Find out more on our volunteer page!
